“Jagruti” has been established and managed by Dr. Braja Vihari Mohanty Memorial Mentally Retarded Benefit Trust (Regd. No-1178/96). The Organization functions as a Training Centre to enable the Mentally Retarded Children (MRC) to face the ever increasing day to day problems in the society. The parents of the MRC are handicapped to rehabilitate them as able citizens. The organization mainly aims at helping these parents and their children to live gracefully. This centre which is now functioning as a Non-Govt. Organization (NGO) is mainly handicapped due to paucity of funds. We, therefore, appeal to the benevolent People/Organization to provide sufficient donations and guidance, so that the Centre can function as a viable unit in achieving its objectives. 

To increase the strength and stability of the Organization, We request you to become a Life Member of the above trust on payment of one time deposit of Rs.5,000 (Rupees five thousand only). As per the provisions contained in the Trust deed a life Member continues to be a member of the Trust for whole life and is eligible to become an office bearer. A Non Resident Indian (NRI) Life-Member may nominate suitable person on his behalf to represent him in all the meeting of the Trust.

The ‘Day –Care’ unit of the Centre provides Vocational training and aims at developing such qualities to enable the MRC to live gracefully without becoming a burden on their parents, families and the society. A large number of MRC with potentialities are not being able to join the centre in spite of their desires due to precarious economic conditions of their parents and families. We, therefore, request you to provide funds to enable the Centre to train these M.R.C. free of cost. You can sponsored one M.R. Child by contributing one time deposit of Rs.50, 000, 00 (Rupees Fifty Thousand only), which can earn monthly interest of Rs.300 (Rupees Three Hundred Only) being the cost of training of the child in the Day Care Centre. Further you can also sponsor one  poor M.R./ C.P./ Artistic or multiple differently able Child /Person  by contributing  one time  deposit of Rs. 8,00,000/-(Eighty lacks only) towards the maintenance cost of the differently able Child /Person for whole life.

The sponsored child will be selected by the Managing Committee of the Institution and the details will be provided to you along with Annual Progress Report for your information. Incase of the dropout of the sponsored child, a fresh selection will be made and duly intimated to you.

We look forward for your generous and benevolent contributions for this noble cause. We specially appeal to NRIs to donate liberally to the Organization, as it is managed by Parents of the Mentally Retarded Children and its books of accounts are being audited annually by a Chartered Accountant as per the provisions contained in the registered Deed of Trust, (Vide its Regd. No. 1178/96). A leaflet indicating the details of the Centre and its program me is enclosed for your kind information.

Your donation may please be sent in the form of Cash/Draft/Cheque or in kind in favor of the Trust, which will be duly receipted and exempted from payment of incometax as per the provision contained in Income Tax Act. 1961, Vide Order No; Tech /80G-37/2008-09 dated 15-sep-2008.
